These terms govern your use of The Board. By using the app you agree to them.
What The Board is
The Board (a working name) is a household coordination app for chores, routines, calendars, and rewards. Core features run entirely on your device; multi-device sync is an optional paid feature.
Your household and PIN
A household is shared by the people who use it. You're responsible for keeping your household PIN and your devices secure, and for the activity of everyone you give access to. Sensitive actions are PIN-gated, but the PIN is only as private as you keep it.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans, pricing, renewals, and cancellation terms will be described here when billing launches. (Placeholder — billing is not yet available.)
Your data
Your family's data is yours. You can export a complete copy at any time and delete your household entirely from within the app. See the Privacy Policy for details on what is collected and how it's handled.
Acceptable use
Use The Board for coordinating your own household. Don't attempt to break its access controls, disrupt the service for others, or use it to harm anyone.
No warranties; not a medical tool
The Board is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. It is a scheduling and tracking tool — it is not a medical, therapeutic, or diagnostic product, and nothing in it should be treated as clinical advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Board and its makers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. (Final wording pending counsel.)
Termination
You can stop using The Board and delete your household at any time. We may suspend access that violates these terms or the law.
Changes and contact
We'll update these terms as the product develops and note the effective date once counsel has reviewed them. A contact address will be published before launch.
